Montana Soccer Referee Program – Beginner Referee Course
Course Details
- Date: Saturday, March 14
- Location: Northside Park Soccer Fieldhouse
- Time: 10:00 AM – approximately 2:30 PM
Course Requirements
All online requirements must be completed prior to acceptance into the in-person clinic.
- The online course takes approximately 4–5 hours to complete
- Online coursework must be finished before attending the in-person session
Additional Requirements (Age 18+)
Referees who are 18 years or older must also:
- Complete the SafeSport course
- Complete a background check (must be completed or actively in process)
Registration Fee Reimbursement
Referees who officiate four (4) or more games in Livingston—whether recreational, competitive, or a combination—within a calendar year will be reimbursed for the course registration fee.
- Reimbursement applies to the course registration only
- Background check fees are not reimbursable

Referees Needed — Paid Opportunity
During the Montana Youth Soccer Association Spring Competitive season, teams traveling to away matches are required to travel with two referees.
Livingston relies on local players, parents, and community members to help meet this requirement—and refereeing is a paid position that supports our teams while building confidence and game knowledge.
